If you are looking for the car seat that has everything, the Britax Boulevard has to be high on your list. At the higher end of an up market line of seats, the Boulevard has all of the safety features and all of the comfort features that most consumers are looking for.

Once the Boulevard is installed (and installation is easy if you read the manual!) it hardly moves an inch; it can be held in tight by either the LATCH system (up to child weight of 48 pounds) or the “lock-offs” when using the car’s seatbelt, and sit so securely you almost think they are part of the vehicle! The car seat also comes with Britax’s patented “Versa-Tether”, which will keep the seat from moving forward suddenly in case of a crash.

The infant body pillow will allow even tiny newborns to sit securely in the Boulevard in a rear-facing position, and when they grow they can use this sit for an incredibly long time – up to 65 pounds, which for almost all is at least into the 5th year. When you think about it this way…that this is the only seat you will need to buy, the price doesn’t seem so bad. For those who buy an infant carrier, a convertible car seat and then a high backed booster, the price tag will be more than the Boulevard’s $309.99!

The best convenience factor that comes with the Boulevard is the no-rethread head rest and strap adjustment! With the twist of just one knob you can alter the height of the straps, which means as you child grows, or even if they are bundled up in a very bulky snowsuit one day, you can make sure the seat fits them perfectly without the hassle of taking the whole seat apart.

For baby’s comfort, the Boulevard is very nicely cushioned with high-density comfort foam, the material is soft and plush, and the recline feature allows your child to nod off without their head hanging forward, or to sit up and have a nice view of the world. If you decide to bring out the check book and “buy the best” for you baby, however, make sure that when you bring your $309.99 car seat home your read the manual. There are a few users who have been dissatisfied, but most have issues with straps that the majority seem to avoid by learning how to use the seat properly.
